Looking down at the Alley
I see the emptiness of Life
a women digging in the trash
looking for that last supper
finding nothing she sits down
and leans against the wall of
what seems to be an abandoned building
this is where life leads
we end in a darkened alley
even if you are lying quietly
in a bed surrounded by loved ones
looking down at the quiet alley
I see the emptiness in life.
