There is a world out there that many people dare not cross into. A world that to most seems frightening and hard. It is a world where nothing makes sense and nothing is what it seems. A world that is scary and dark. Though there are those people who are lucky enough to live in this world. The people who see the hope and the light. The people who like the surprises that lie behind every corner. The people who make something out of the bad and make it good. These are the people the world calls poets. Do you live in fear, or are you ready to search for the light in the darkness?

All the pretty people Poet of the week

IF

If you can keep your head when all about you/ Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,/ If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you/ But make allowance for their doubting too,/ If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,/ Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,/ Or being hated, don't give way to hating,/ And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:/ If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,/ If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;/ If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster/ And treat those two impostors just the same;/ If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken/ Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,/ Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,/ And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:/ If you can make one heap of all your winnings/ And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,/ And lose, and start again at your beginnings/ And never breath a word about your loss;/ If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew/ To serve your turn long after they are gone,/ And so hold on when there is nothing in you/ Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"/ If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,/ Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,/ If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;/ If all men count with you, but none too much,/ If you can fill the unforgiving minute/ With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,/ Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,/ And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!/

IF

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

An angel
with soft white wings to carry you up
A hero
with courage that touched the lives of millions
A warrior
fighting hard to survive in this world
A princess
nothing less then Gods royalty
A child
of the precious years we waste away
A memory
someone no one will ever forget
A legend
Someone who will go down in that of forever

This is who you were
and who you will always be
in that of the heart
of those who love you so..

*We all you miss with all of our hearts. Though we know that now you are free and happy.*

I Adore You: Prelude to "Those Dreamy Brown Eyes"

You are the object of my affection,
I love the way you look at me with your big, beautiful, sexy, dreamy brown eyes.
Your smile, just knocks me off my feet,
And, your laugh, is the sound of Angels singing.

Your voice, Angelic in itself.
I love to hear you say my name,
It just rolls off your tongue and lips,
It's like music to my ears.

The very first time I saw you,
It was your eyes that enchanted me,
They captivated me,
And drew me into your essence.

Your eyes were the beginning,
They put me into a trance.
And, slowly the rest was revealed to me,
And, I began to ardently adore you.

I listened to every word that you had to say,
I admire your courage and strength.
You inspire me to greatness,
And you are the apple of my eye.

You are a natural born leader and teacher,
I will follow you to the end of the rainbow.
You carry yourself well,
And, your stature is colossal.

You're a kind, loving, caring person,
Friendly, cool, calm, and collected,
Yet, private, discrete, and incognito with your affection,
Lady, I adore you.

"Until the end of time,
I'll be there for you.
You are my heart and mind,
I truly adore you.

If God one day struck me blind,
Your beauty I'd still see,
Love's too weak to define,
Just what you mean to me!" (1)

When I see you,
You light up my day,
With your smile and gentle, sweet voice and touch...
It sends chills down my spine.

And, when I look into your eyes,
The rest of the world stops...
The earth stops spinning on her axis,
And, I can't utter an intelligent sound...you take my breath away.

I get lost in my thoughts of you, Lady...
I get lost in love.
Something just clicked one day,
And I found myself head over heels for you.

Lady, I adore you,
Pure adoration, admiration, consideration, infatuation, appreciation, Devotion, affection, passion, attraction, fervor, and love...
And, it's all for you.

I am lost in emotion when it comes to you,
The amount of love, empathy, fondness, and devotion is unreal...
I am so intrigued with you...
Lady, I ADORE YOU...TIL THE END OF TIME...
COME ON, BABY, WILL YOU BE MINE?

 Those Dreamy Brown Eyes

Those Dreamy Brown Eyes

When I look into her eyes,
I get lost in the abyss...
The aura, that is her.
And, I just want to whisk,
Her away, but damn, I am just too shy.

She looks at me through those puppy-dog eyes,
And, she smiles...
It lights up my whole world,
But, it also puts my head in a swirl.

How can something so marvelous,
Cause such confusion?

You see, she is beautiful and knows it!
She is finer than wine,
And thick in all of the right places,
Her breast are supple...
Just enough, but not too much.
That ass....
Man, saddle up and enjoy the ride.
Her smile, to die for, nothing but rays of sunshine,
But, when I look into those eyes...
BEWARE!!

They call out to me,
They beckon me,
They say come over,
They tell me stories of how our nights will be together...
They pull me in for the kiss...
They tell me that more will come later...
They tell me that I'm alright...
They lure me to stay the night...

The next thing I know...
Man, I'm dreaming...
Dreaming of moments together with her...
The way we will dance together,
Talk together,
Walk together,
Laugh together,
Hug each other,
Caress each other,
And, undress each other,
And, how I will make sweet love to her.

You see, those eyes;
They trap me...
They lure me into her abyss...
They tell me I'm the ONE...
Even though she thinks I'm a BUM.

They tell me everything is O.K.
When what she wants really is an end to the day.
They tell me she's diggin' me,
When she's really thinking about ditching me.

I wake up from my lovely dream....
To hear her saying how gross I would look undressed,
My body's a mess...
And, this was all a test...

A test to see if I'm stupid enough to believe,
That she could ever conceive,
The actual thought of being on my arm....
The thoght of being with me....
Ya'll pinch me, because I'm gone...

Back into my dream,
It's safer there...
No hurt feelings,
No pain,
And, all gain.

You see, when I look into those beautiful, brown, dreamy eyes,
Everything is great,
Time stands still...
There is nothing amiss,
I just get lost in her abyss...

They are like Calgon...
They take me away..
Who needs crack or coke or any of those others,
When those eyes are out there...
Taking me wherever I want to go?

But, then in the end,
they finally tell me the truth...
You see, I have a cute face, that's pretty easy to look at,
But, the rest of me has pretty much gone to waste...
And, now those eyes have ruined my day,
Because, they no longer take me to that place...

Will I ever see her again?
Probably.
Will she make my eyes dance in my head anymore?
Probably, but to a different tune.
Is she still the most beautiful woman in the world to me?
Yes, she did let me down easily, ya'll.
Can we still be friends?
Yes, I want that, very much so.
Will I still secretly think about having her?
Well, damn, ya'll, she's a MILF, need I say more?
Will I be able to contain myself?
Of course, I know the truth,
I don't like it,
But, I know it,
And I have to respect it.
Would I still make love to her if I had the chance?
If and only if, she asked me to...

Those eyes,
Are powerful...
They will either make you or break you,
They will lure you in; hook, line, and sinker,
Then chop you up into little, bitty pieces;
And spit you out...
They can send you home crying to your mother if you let them...
Damn, those DREAMY, BEAUTIFUL, BROWN EYES!!
YOU JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DO TO ME!!
I LOVE YOU, BABY!
I WISH YOU WOULD JUST GIVE ME ONE CHANCE...
TO SHOW YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!!!

 The Mind's Eye

The Mind's Eye

Symbolic drastics, copulating with the mind's eye,

destroying innocence of thought with its desolate feeling of anger.

Remorse has no life in this cold dark aura,

lost in the illusion of hate and destruction for all.

While they grow closer you hear a faint, distant cry
as the soul bereaves the loss of control.

Hope and happiness tight in the clutches of the fiend,

unsuccessfully struggling to create serenity.

Ignorance of deception is the key to the drastic existence.

Without knowledge, there's no future for peace.

Men no longer see men, just occupied spaces that need to be cleaned.

An antidote is offered, but the mind is too weak to indulge,

So the soul will suffer and eventually dies.

And all the world is dark and desolate, in the mind's eye.

A Pigeon once was flying down
By the water of the lake
Cruising smoothly above the depths
Dreaming of a distant land

Energy pulsing through its wings
Fast then did the pigeon rise
Going past the water's reach
Having the time of his life

In these moments of blissful thought
Just himself and the air beneath him
